- Cleaning Instructions: Although you are free to clean your hats however and as frequently as you would like, RRR recommends the following do's and don'ts when it comes to cleaning and storing your hats:

Do's:

  • Clean the hat, bill and patch with a mild laundry detergent (liquid, powder, pod) using a small amount of detergent with hot water in a clean sink. Only wetting the areas that need cleaned.  Simply scrub with a mild laundry detergent and water, rinse the brush out with water, scrub the area again to rinse the soap out and repeat until clean.
  • Use a soft bristle brush such as a toothbrush to gently scrub any stains or mud.
  • For the tougher stains, utilize the same principles but with a clothing specific stain remover much like you would for a T-shirt.
  • Let the hat air dry once finished until the hat, bill and patch are all dry to the touch.
  • Clean only as needed.
  • Store your hats in a dry, room temperature area.

Dont's:

  • Use a harsh detergent, soap or chemical to clean your hat as it could damage, alter the color and reduce the longevity of your hat and patch.
  • Use bleach.
  • Use anything harder than a soft bristle brush such as a toothbrush.
  • Place your hat into the dishwasher. This can cause the hat and the material to shrink due to the extreme heat of the appliance. This will also reduce the longevity and durability of your hat and patch.
  • Place your hat into the washing machine. This will also reduce the longevity and durability of your hat and patch.
  • Place your hat into the dryer. This can cause the hat and the material to shrink due to the extreme heat of the appliance. This will also reduce the longevity and durability of your hat and patch.
  • Saturate the hat, bill or patch more than you need to. Simply scrub with a mild laundry detergent, rinse the brush out with water, scrub the area again to rinse the soap out and repeat until clean.
  • Store your hats in UV ray prevalent areas such as the dash of your vehicle or outside for prolonged periods of time. UV rays over time will distort the hat and can cause durability issues.
  • Induce heated air to speed up the drying process such as a hair dryer, heat gun etc. This can cause the hat and the material to shrink due to the extreme heat of the accessory. This will also reduce the longevity and durability of your hat and patch.
